With reference to Sir John Harding's minute No.

3475/15 of the 8th of May last concerning the Hong

Kong Immigration Department, and subsequent minutes

in Hong Kong 54086/1941 I attach for perusal and

return a further letter (with enclosures) which I

have received from the Acting Auditor of Hong Kong

concerning an audit examination of the Immigration

Department Accounts. I have not yet received the

Auditor's reply to my letter referred to in my minute
